Find an Agency

Track your requests to join other agencies and ask for access to new ones.

The Find an Agency screen shows the agencies you have requested to join and the status of each request. Every row lists the agency name, a color-coded status badge, the request and update dates, where the request came from, the organization code, and any note an admin added. When you want to join another agency, you can submit a new access request right from this screen using that agency's six-digit organization code.

Find an Agency list with status badges

Overview

The header shows the module name your agency gave this tile. Each request is a row, and the three-dot menu at the top right holds a single choice: Request Access.

Status badgeBadge colorMeaning
PENDINGAmberYour request is awaiting a decision.
JOINEDGreenYou have been accepted.
DENIEDRedYour request was turned down.
REMOVEDRedYou were removed from the agency.
LEFTGreyYou left the agency.

Status badges are shown in capital letters.

What each row shows

ElementWhat it shows
Agency nameThe name of the agency you asked to join.
Status badgeOne of the five above, in its color.
SourceWhere the request came from — for example whether you asked or an admin invited you.
Org codeThe six-digit code for that agency. Hidden if the agency has no code on record.
Admin noteA message left by that agency's administrator. Hidden if there is no note.
Request dateWhen you asked to join, in your preferred date format.
Updated dateWhen the status last changed, in your preferred date format.

The org code and admin note lines only appear when there is something to show, so a bare row means neither was supplied.

Getting Here

  1. Open the Account tab and tap the Find an Agency module.
  2. The list loads with your module name as the header and a brief spinner.
  3. Scroll through your requests to review each one's status.
  4. Tap the Back arrow to return to the account grid.

Reading a Request

  1. Each row shows the agency name at the top with the colored status badge beside it.
  2. Below the name you can see the source of the request, the org code, and any admin note.
  3. The request date shows when you asked to join, and the updated date shows when the status last changed.
  4. Rows are not tappable — this list is for reading, and any action is taken through the three-dot menu.
tip

If a request stays PENDING for a while, check the admin note on the row — that agency's administrator may have left a message there explaining what they need from you.

Requesting Access to an Agency

  1. Tap the three-dot menu at the top right of the screen.
  2. Choose Request Access. A popup appears with a six-box code field, and the keyboard opens straight away with the first box active.
  3. Type the agency's six-digit organization code. Ask that agency for it — it is shown on their own Agency Profile screen.
  4. Tap Submit.

What happens when you submit

OutcomeWhat you see
Fewer than six digits enteredThe message "Please enter 6 digits organization code". Nothing is sent.
The request is acceptedThe popup closes and the list reloads with your new PENDING row.
You have already asked that agencyThe popup closes and the list reloads — your existing request is shown rather than a duplicate being created.
The code is wrong or refusedThe popup stays open and the reason appears as a message underneath the code field.

Tap Cancel at any point to close the popup without submitting.

caution

Submitting a request does not join you to an agency. It puts your name in front of that agency's administrators, who then approve or deny it on their own Memberships screen. Your badge stays PENDING until they act.

Loading, Empty, and Offline States

SituationWhat you see
Opening while onlineA brief spinner, then your requests.
You have never requested anythingAn empty list. Use Request Access to make your first one.
Opening while offlineAn empty list and no spinner — the screen does not even try to fetch.
The server does not answerAn alert shows the error and the list stays empty.
A date cannot be readThat date line is left blank rather than showing something wrong.
Leaving the screen mid-loadThe request is cancelled cleanly as you tap Back.
note

You need an internet connection both to load your agency requests and to submit a new one. This screen keeps no offline copy at all — if the list is empty, check you are online before assuming you have no requests.

How This Connects

  • Where the data comes from. The list is fetched fresh from the server each time you open the screen. There is no saved copy on your device.
  • What updates it. Submitting a request here, and — far more often — an administrator at the other agency approving, denying, or removing you. Their decision changes your badge and fills in the updated date.
  • The org code is the shared key. The six digits you type into Request Access are the same code shown in the summary block of that agency's Agency Profile, and the same code echoed back on your request row here.
  • This screen is the other half of Memberships. Your request appears on that agency's Memberships screen with status Pending, where an admin approves or denies it. The five statuses here match the five filter chips there exactly: Pending, Joined, Denied, Removed, Left.
  • What changes once you are JOINED. The agency appears in your account, its modules appear on your Account tab, and your standing in it — rank, status, groups — shows on Personal Profile → Agency Info. An administrator who belongs to several agencies can switch between them from the dropdown on Agency Settings.
  • Invited rather than requested. If an administrator invites you instead, you appear on their Pending Invites tab and the source on your row here reflects that.
  • Dates follow your settings. Both dates use the format you chose in App Defaults.
  • Offline and reconnect. Nothing is queued. Opening the screen offline shows an empty list, and submitting offline is not possible. Reconnect and reopen the screen to see the current state of every request.

Troubleshooting

If this happensWhat to do
The list is empty but you know you have requestsYou are probably offline — this screen keeps no saved copy. Connect and reopen it.
"Please enter 6 digits organization code" appearsThe code must be exactly six digits. Check for a missing digit.
A message appears under the code fieldThat is the server's reason for refusing. Double-check the code with the agency you are trying to join.
You do not know the organization codeAsk someone at that agency. It is on their Agency Profile screen.
Your badge has been PENDING for daysRead the admin note on the row, then contact that agency's administrator directly.
You submitted twice and see only one rowExpected — a second request for the same agency does not create a duplicate.
Your badge says DENIEDThat agency turned the request down. Check the admin note, then speak to them before requesting again.
Your badge changed to REMOVEDAn administrator at that agency removed you. Only they can put you back.
The Org code line is missing on a rowThat agency has no code on record. The row is still valid.
The list did not update after your request was approvedReopen the screen while online. Status changes arrive on refresh, not as a push.
Dates are blankThe stored date could not be read. The rest of the row is still accurate.
