Mute All Notifications

Silence every notification for a set number of hours and minutes, then unmute whenever you choose.

Mute All Notifications pauses every alert on your devices for a length of time you choose. You set the duration with a two-wheel picker — hours and minutes — confirm a clear warning, and the app counts down until notifications turn back on by themselves. Because muting can hide a page you needed, the confirmation is deliberately blunt about the risk.

Both wheels show two digits, so one hour reads as 01 and thirty minutes as 30.

Picking 24 hours snaps the minutes wheel back to 00 automatically, because 24 hours is the maximum and nothing can be added on top.

The Two States of This Screen

The screen works out which state you are in by checking whether the mute's end time is still in the future. An expired mute is treated as no mute at all, so the screen returns to Save with the Cancel button hidden even before you do anything.

Getting Here

1. Open the Account tab.
2. Open App Settings.
3. Choose Mute All Notifications.

The App Settings row itself tells you the current state: it reads MUTE ALL NOTIFICATIONS normally, and switches to NOTIFICATIONS MUTED in red with a live hh:mm:ss countdown beside it while a mute is running.

Muting Notifications

1. Spin the Hours and Minutes wheels to set how long you want to mute.
2. Tap Save.
3. A confirmation appears spelling out exactly what you are about to do.
4. Tap Mute to confirm, or Cancel to back out with nothing changed.
5. On success a short confirmation message appears and you are returned to App Settings.

The confirmation reads: "You are about to MUTE ALL NOTIFICATIONS for the next H hours and M minutes.This could lead to you missing critical notifications by an agency you are subscribed to.Are you sure you want to Mute Notifications?" The hours and minutes are your own values. Mute with care — this silences every agency you belong to, not just the one you are currently in, and it silences critical alerts too.

While Muted

1. The button reads Update and a Cancel button has appeared.
2. The wheels show the duration you originally chose, not the time remaining.
3. To change the remaining time, spin the wheels to a new duration and tap Update. You confirm the same warning again, and the new duration starts from now rather than being added to what was left.
4. The countdown on the App Settings row keeps ticking down in hh:mm:ss form while the mute is live, and disappears on its own when the mute expires.

Update replaces the mute rather than extending it. Setting 01:00 on a mute with twenty minutes left gives you one hour from now, not one hour twenty.

Choosing a Duration

The minutes wheel steps in tens, so the shortest possible mute is ten minutes and durations are always a round figure.

Prefer the shortest duration that covers what you need. A mute ends by itself, so a two-hour mute that expires is safer than an eight-hour one you forget to cancel. If you need longer, you can always come back and Update.

Mute Versus Turning Alerts Off

These two look similar and behave very differently.

Muting silences critical alerts too. If there is one kind of page you must never miss, do not rely on remembering to unmute — choose a short duration instead.

Unmuting Early

1. Tap Cancel.
2. A prompt appears: Alert — "Are you sure you want to unmute all push notifications?"
3. Choose Yes to unmute now, or No to stay muted.
4. Unmuting takes effect immediately and the screen returns to its Save state.

Leaving Without Saving

If you spin the wheels and then tap back without saving, a prompt appears: Data Updated — "Do you want to save changes?"

How This Connects

• Where the state comes from. Your mute is loaded when you sign in, so a mute you set on one device is already running when you sign in on another. The screen then reads it from the device to decide between Save and Update.
• What it affects. Every notification, in every agency you belong to. It does not matter what level an alert is set to on Notification Settings — while a mute is running, nothing sounds.
• What it does not change. Your per-notification settings are untouched. When the mute expires, everything returns to exactly the levels and sounds you configured. It also does not stop alerts being recorded: they still appear in Notifications, just silently.
• Apple Watch. A connected Apple Watch is told about the mute as soon as it is applied or cancelled, so the watch goes quiet with the phone.
• When it takes effect. Immediately on confirming, and immediately on unmuting. The end time is calculated from the moment you confirmed, so a mute set at the top of the hour for one hour ends on the hour.
• Offline behavior. Setting or cancelling a mute with no connection stores it on the device and applies it locally, and the watch is still told. The server learns about it later. Because the state is local, your other devices will not know until the change syncs.
• Offline for administrators. When an administrator is muting someone else's devices from the agency admin area, a connection is required and the app says the internet is unavailable rather than storing anything.

Troubleshooting

If this happens	What to do
You are muted unexpectedly	Open this screen. If the button reads Update and a Cancel button is showing, a mute is running. Tap Cancel, then Yes.
You are not receiving notifications at all	Check here first — a running mute is the most common cause. Then check levels on Notification Settings and your device's permissions under Devices.
"Please select proper time"	Both wheels are at zero. Set at least ten minutes.
You cannot set 24 hours plus minutes	24 hours is the maximum. Choosing it resets minutes to 00 automatically.
Update made the mute shorter than expected	Update replaces the mute and starts from now. Set the full duration you want from this moment.
The wheels show your original duration, not the time left	Expected. The live countdown is on the App Settings row, not on the wheels.
The countdown on App Settings is stuck	Leave App Settings and come back; the countdown restarts from the stored end time.
A mute set on another device is not reflected here	Mute state is loaded at sign-in and when it syncs. Sign out and back in to pick it up.
Your Apple Watch is still alerting	The watch is told only when it is reachable. Bring it near the phone and re-apply the mute.
The mute expired but alerts are still silent	Your settings, not the mute. Check Notification Settings for alerts set to None or Silent.
Alerts arrived while muted and you never heard them	Correct behavior — they are recorded silently. Read them in Notifications.
